Construction
Heat sensitive mats and coasters have part of the design printed in special heat sensitive ink. This thermochromic ink is black at room temperature but becomes transparent revealing a full colour image when warmed by your hand or hot drink. As the material cools the thermochromic ink reverts to black to hide the image.
Print
The mat is usually printed by offset litho. Part of the design is overprinted with the thermochromic ink, leaving the rest of the design permanently visible. It works best if the hidden/revealed part is framed in some way by the rest of the design.

Bulk packed but can be
individually packed in white envelopes, which can be
personalised.
